The Lab

The thesis.

Africa's institutions never got their operating layer, and AI is the first technology cheap and capable enough to build it for them — not better tools they still have to operate, but agents and systems that do the work. That gap is the arbitrage, and we've been building inside it for years.

At scale, the only doer is the institution itself — the constituency office, the utility, the regulator. So we don't build a service beside the state; we build the software it runs on, and hand it the keys.

And it isn't a single product or a single vertical. Flux is the operating layer across civic, water, and finance — one system, many institutions.

The missing layer

The institution already holds the mandate. It just never got the software to meet it. We build that layer — and hand it the keys.

How we work
01ThesisWe write the argument before we build the product. The lab notebook →
02BuildWe ship into hard, regulated, real-world contexts — AccessWASH, with IHE Delft & Rotary.
03ScaleWe focus where it pays out. Four products live today.
The standard
The technology exists. It just hasn't been built for Africa's institutions yet.
